One of the best ways to use crispy’chilli oil is as a finishing touch for a steaming bowl of ramen. Added just before serving, it brings warmth, crunch and savoury umami flavour without overpowering the broth.
This recipe starts with cooked itsu udon noodles, topped with finely sliced red pepper, spring onions and itsu chicken gyoza. Pour over warming itsu sesame chicken broth, then finish with a teaspoon of itsu crispy’chilli oil.
Simple, comforting and full of flavour, it’s the kind of bowl that feels just right for a healthy lunch or a quick midweek dinner.

This cucumber salad combines twisted cucumber with a dressing made from itsu crispy'chilli oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar and a touch of brown sugar. Leave the cucumber to marinate for an hour before serving for even more flavour.
